You can buy a one-day wristband in combination with the shows Instant Love, ZIEL / ROUH, Permanent Destruction - the SK Concert, Deep Blue, and IK (ticket: standard + one-day wristband). The combined price is €25 (wristband valid for the day of the show).
You can buy the festival wristband and tickets for separate shows at the box office or simply at overhetij.nl. The Over het IJ Festival charges €2 for every online order. If you purchase multiple tickets in one order, this amount remains the same.
Print your e-tickets or have them scanned on your smartphone or tablet at the door of the venue. The Over het IJ Festival wristband must be collected at the box office in the heart of the festival at the NDSM Wharf by showing your e-ticket.
Please note: Once purchased, tickets cannot be returned. Tickets also cannot be changed to a different date. Please always check the date and the email address before you complete your order.
European Youth Card (CJP) discount
Do you have a European Youth Card (CJP)? In that case, you pay €10 for each ticket and the festival wristband (prices exclude administrative fees). This applies online as well as at the box office. Please note: for the discount, you must show your European Youth Card at the box office and at the door.
Geef een Toegift (donate tickets)
Are you buying a ticket for #OHIJ18? Then give someone who can’t afford it a ticket as a gift. This year, we are taking part in Geef een Toegift as part of the De Verenigde Podiumkunstenfestivals. The Warm Welcome Foundation, an organization that supports new residents/refugees in Amsterdam North to build up their own social networks, and also allocates the tickets that you donate.
Box office opening hours during the festival
The Over het IJ Festival takes place from the 13th to the 22nd of July at the NDSM Wharf in Amsterdam. During the festival, the central box office located in the heart of the festival is open from Monday to Friday from 4:00PM and Saturday and Sunday from 2:00PM. On the first day of the festival, July 13th, the box office is open from 7PM.
Card payments only. At the Over het IJ Festival box office, you can only pay with pin (Maestro) and credit card (Visa and Mastercard). Cash is not accepted.
For questions about ticket purchases, you can email email@example.com.
The Over het IJ Festival is easily accessible by bike, bus, and ferry. We suggest coming by bike, as some shows are located outside the NDSM Wharf.
FERRY. The public transit service’s free ferry will take you from Central Station to the NDSM Wharf in ten minutes. It leaves twice per hour, and four times per hour during peak hours. The ferry ride takes 4 minutes. There is also a ferry between the Tasmanstraat in the Western Harbor Area (Westelijk Havengebied) and the NDSM Wharf. During peak hours, the ferry leaves three times per hour, and twice per hour in off-peak hours. The ferry ride takes only 6 minutes.
BUS. From Central Station, take bus 391 (towards Zaandam Zaanse Schans) or bus 394 (towards Zaandam Station) and stop at the Klaprozenweg bus stop. City bus 35 (towards Molenwijk) also leaves from Central Station; with this bus, get off at the Ataturk bus stop. From both bus stops, it’s a five-minute walk to the festival grounds. Check the current bus schedule here: http://9292.nl.
CAR. If you’re coming by car after all, then you can use the parking spaces on the NDSM Wharf next to the Scheepsbouwloods (ship building warehouse). From Monday to Sunday from 9:00AM to 11:00PM, the rate is €1.30 per hour.
You can reach shows outside the NDSM Wharf on your own (by bike or on foot). Check the map for all the venues outside the NDSM Wharf and the starting points of the bike and walking routes. Keep the extra travel time in mind.
At the NDSM Wharf, you can’t visit all the performances on your own. The starting point for the New Makers Program (Nieuwe Makers Programma) and Specials is in the heart of the festival. From the starting point, you will be guided to the performance location.
Eating and drinking in the heart of the festival
The bustling center of the festival is, once again, the heart of the festival. This year, it is built around Ferrotopia: the much talked-about visual art installation by Atelier Van Lieshout. Of course, the heart of the festival is also the spot to enjoy the lively festival atmosphere. Hungry or thirsty? Order a drink at the bar, a delicious meal at CURRYUP!, or a sweet treat at De Taartenkamer.
